UCSD VLSI CAD LABORATORY

ABKGroup in the UCSD VLSI CAD Laboratory derives a substantial portion of its research support from the MARCO Gigascale Silicon Research Center (one of four existing Focus Research Centers in the MARCO Focus Center Research Program, which is supported by DARPA, SRC, and members of the Semiconductor Industry Association and the Semiconductor Industry Suppliers Association). Professor Kahng initially led the GSRC Fabrics Thrust with Larry Pileggi of CMU, then from the second year of the GSRC has led the "Calibrating Achievable Design" Theme.
Our research is also sponsored by SRC (three projects), NSF (one project), Cadence, AmmoCore, Numerical Technologies, and PROLITH by KLA-Tencor. Other research support is through the University of California MICRO program.
